CVT
The Clyde CVT Cabinet heat pump takes 'free heat' from the atmosphere and uses it to provide cost-effective domestic hot water.
The system includes a highly-insulated 270 litre storage calorifier and can heat the stored water from 10°C to 55°C in a just a few hours. Once heated the calorifier will provide a flow rate of 926 litres every 24 hours. A 2kW electric immersion heater is also included to 'top-up' the temperature of the water if the unit is operating as a stand-alone system and not linked with other conventional heating units. It also features a Legionella prevention programme that can raise the water temperature to 65°C for an hour once a week to kill off the bacteria.
- The high heat output of the CVT per unit of electrical power used to drive the system makes it a very cost-efficient and environmentally friendly option
- Two auxiliary coils mounted inside the vessel can also boost the output of the unit. These can be linked to secondary heat sources including sustainable alternatives such as solar or geothermal power as well as conventional boiler systems.
